Our district is home to notable institutions and destinations such as Fordham University, Arthur Avenue, the Bronx Zoo, the New York Botanical Garden, and St. Barnabas Hospital. The Board plays a vital role in advising the City of New York on service delivery within the district while actively advocating for the needs and interests of our residents.<\/p>\n<p>Bronx Community Board 6 carries out a wide range of responsibilities, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Land-Use and Zoning: The Board plays a key advisory role in land use matters and must be consulted on the siting of most municipal facilities within the district.
