MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD CHAIRPERSON<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The members of Bronx Community Board 8 are volunteers who strive to represent the interests and needs of our district’s residents, institutions, businesses in Fieldston, Kingsbridge, Kingsbridge Heights, Marble Hill, Riverdale, Spuyten Duyvil, and Van Cortlandt Village.<\/span><\/p>\n

We play an important advisory role, mandated by the New York City Charter, that impacts land use planning and zoning matters, city budget, municipal service delivery, and many other quality of life issues for those who live and work in our district.<\/span><\/p>\n

By hosting regular committee and board meetings open to the public, BXCB8 acts as your representative for co<\/span>mmunicating events, addressing local concerns to make city services accessible and responsive, and processing municipal and state applications of various sorts.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bronx Community Board 8 proudly represents the diverse communities of Fieldston, Kingsbridge, Kingsbridge Heights, Marble Hill, Riverdale, Spuyten Duyvil, and Van Cortlandt Village, who reside or work here, inclusive of all races and ethnicities, gender expressions, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability, national origin, and citizenship.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
