MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD CHAIRPERSON
The members of Bronx Community Board 8 are volunteers who strive to represent the interests and needs of our district’s residents, institutions, businesses in Fieldston, Kingsbridge, Kingsbridge Heights, Marble Hill, Riverdale, Spuyten Duyvil, and Van Cortlandt Village.
We play an important advisory role, mandated by the New York City Charter, that impacts land use planning and zoning matters, city budget, municipal service delivery, and many other quality of life issues for those who live and work in our district.
By hosting regular committee and board meetings open to the public, BXCB8 acts as your representative for communicating events, addressing local concerns to make city services accessible and responsive, and processing municipal and state applications of various sorts.
Please stay connected and always feel free to contact us with your community concerns.
If you are dealing with an emergency please call 911 immediately. If you have a non emergency issue or complaint please call 311 and send the board office an email ([email protected]) with the 311 complaint number and any photos you have. We will follow up with the appropriate agency and keep you abreast of any updates as well.
Bronx Community Board 8 proudly represents the diverse communities of Fieldston, Kingsbridge, Kingsbridge Heights, Marble Hill, Riverdale, Spuyten Duyvil, and Van Cortlandt Village, who reside or work here, inclusive of all races and ethnicities, gender expressions, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability, national origin, and citizenship.
Pursuant to NYC Mayoral Executive Order 267, Community Board 8 Meetings are held via zoom, with some committees meeting hybrid( in person & via zoom).

NYCityMap is New York City’s online map portal. The application provides a wealth of information including the locations of schools, day care centers, senior centers, libraries, hospitals, subways, and more, as well as links to Web sites for these facilities. This page is also a single access point to many of the numerous location-based applications on NYC.gov such as online property, building, statistics, and census information. The maps can be navigated either by entering a specific address or simply using zoom and scroll tools, similar to other online map applications.
